Teachers employed at LJPS are Florida-certified or eligible for certification in the field in which they are assigned. Teacher’s certificates will be posted in their classroom.  In the rare event a teacher is assigned out-of-field, parents will be notified according to the provisions of the law.

Teachers at LJPS plan together regularly in order to plan integrated learning activities.  Analysis of data from standardized tests and internal assessments by the administration and teachers refine the curriculum content presented each year.  Teachers, working both in subject-area groups and as grade levels, create detailed curriculum maps and pacing calendars that will ensure that the Sunshine State Standards are embedded in every lesson.  Teachers from the elementary grades meet with middle school teachers to vertically plan and align curriculum content.  Similarly, our school receives feedback from teachers at each of the high schools fed by LJPS.  The goal is to give teachers the information they need to improve instruction at every level.
