Dear Liza Jackson Family,
I would like to take a moment on behalf of the transportation team to thank you for letting us provide transportation for
your child. We will provide the best transportation possible for your child to and from school and to any extracurricular
activities that we provide. Liza Jackson Preparatory School does have a few guidelines that need to be followed when
choosing to use our transportation.
Liza Jackson Preparatory School is a zone transportation school. We will provide bus stops to central locations in your
area. Your bus stop will be determined by your home address that is on file.
Due to safety concerns, your child will be allowed one bus with an A.M. and P.M. stop. The morning and afternoon bus
stop will have to be the same. They will not be allowed to board any other bus. Any extracurricular activities not provided
by the school must be handled after the student is delivered to their designated bus stop.
Due to overcrowding of the buses any student that lives 2 miles and under from the school will have to provide their own
transportation in the morning and afternoon from school. The 2 miles will be determined by your home address on file.
Any Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade Liza Jackson student must have a parent/legal guardian or grandparent at the bus
stop in the afternoon for drop off. If not, the bus driver will not let the student off at the stop. The driver will notify the front
office before leaving the stop, at which time the office will notify the parent/legal guardian or grandparents that the student
will be taken back to Liza Jackson Preparatory School, to be picked up by 6:00pm. Phone 850-833-3321.
Each student will be given a morning pick-up time and an afternoon drop-off time. Your student must be at the stop five
(5) minutes before the pick-up time and parent/legal guardian or grandparent must arrive at the stop five (5) minutes
before the drop-off time.
Students 3rd grade and above can be dropped off without a parent/legal guardian or grandparent at the stop. If you feel
that your child in that grade level should not be dropped off, please feel free to contact transportation and we will work
with you on the situation. We do offer an afterschool program at the school. That is open till 6:00 p.m.
Finally, please make sure that your child’s afternoon bus stop is correct. Upon leaving the school building, your student
will not be allowed on a bus in the afternoon unless he or she is on the check-in sheet for that particular bus. Feel free to
